2025 Annual General Meeting

The Leamington Rugby Sports Club (“LRSC”) notifies all members that the Club’s Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) with be held at the Clubrooms, 36 Carlyle Street, Cambridge on Wednesday 10 December 2025 from 6.30pm.

All members and supporters are encouraged to attend however only financial members are entitled to vote. 

Club Rules [Constitution]

An addition to Agenda this year is a vote on an updated Club Constitution. Under the new Incorporated Societies Act 2022 the Club is required to re-register on the Incorporated Societies Register by April 2026. Re-registration requires the Club to have a constitution that is compliant with the Act.

President Barney has led a small group through the process of drafting a new constitution that is compliant but also consistent with the existing Club Rules.

The latest version of the proposed new Club Constitution is attached below. We are expecting a legal opinion on this version in coming days and the version will be updated if further changes are made.

Subject to members’ feedback, the Board expects to put the draft constitution to the members for a vote at the AGM.

This summary document outlines the key changes made between the 2019 LRSC Constitution and the updated DRAFT 2025 LRSC Constitution.

For clarity, the DRAFT 2025 version also includes section highlights (in yellow) where wording has been changed to comply with the Act (e.g. for clarity or because of legislative change) or to ‘tidy up’ clauses.
